We are
The “Université Populaire du Canton de Genève” (also called UPCGe) is an association which offers adult evening classes. We give French courses (traditional French courses, literacy, written French and phonetics) foreign language courses and general knowlege courses. (see list below)
The courses take place from Monday to Thursday evenings.
A lesson lasts 1h30 once or twice a week.
The courses run from October to January and from February to June (2 semesters).
All our teachers are volontary.
To enrol you must first become a member of our association (annual fee: CHF 50.-) and then pay CHF 50.- administrative tax for each course and each semester. So to join one course for one semester will cost you CHF 100.-, for two courses CHF 150.-, etc.
For the second semester, each course will cost 50.- francs.
It is possible to enrol after the semester has started if places are still available.

There are four different French courses :
Foreign language courses fall into two groups. In the first we offer a large range at different levels:
beginner, pre-intermediate, intermediate and advanced.
We have a smaller offer in the following languages, but we hope to develop our offer
